Powerstroke Cooling System

Don’t let 6.7L Powerstroke cooling system problems sideline your truck. Designed to fix the factory’s shortcomings with simply better designed and constructed components, SPE Motorsport 6.7L Powerstroke cooling system upgrades are here to keep your engine ready for whatever’s ahead.

Powerstroke Cooling System Components for Performance & Reliability

6.7L Powerstroke coolant leaks are common, but easily remedied. The repair comes in a few different areas. On top of the common leaking areas, the 6.7L has an inefficient thermostat that lacks flow to cool the engine efficiently. We’ve addressed all these issues with high-end components made from the best materials and engineered to the highest standards.

SPE Motorsports' full line of cooling system upgrades fixes issues like turbo cooling hose leaks, upper and lower radiator hose leaks, broken heater inlet fittings, oil cooler hose leaks, degas bottle hose leaks, and more. Each hose is made from 5-ply silicone reinforced hose that withstands higher pressures and where applicable, includes billet aluminum fittings for increased reliability over the OE design. We also utilize PTFE hoses and other high-quality materials where applicable.

The Degas Bottle Hose and Adapter Kit is designed to replace the lower degas bottle hose and connection that commonly leaks on the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine.

Our Lower Radiator Hose was designed to eliminate connections prone to leaking while offering a draining point for the coolant system.

From the factory, the OE heater inlet is made from plastic, which degrades and gets brittle over time. Our Ford 6.7 Heater Inlet Billet Top Adapter Fitting is a one-and-done direct replacement you’ll never have to replace again.

The SPE Motorsport Upper Radiator Hose is a direct replacement for the factory radiator hose, allowing you to further clean up the engine bay and eliminate more leak prone connections.

Our Turbo Coolant Feed Line fixes the OEM rigid hard line that due to the harsh environment it lives in, is prone to breaking and leaking. Our new line also provides added cooling capacity to the turbocharger.

High temperatures are common with the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel as well. The fix is an upgraded thermostat that both opens at a lower temperature and offers a significant flow increase over the OE design. This part is a simple 15-minute install.

The SPE Motorsport Booklung Intercooler fixes the problematic OE intercooler that not only leaks coolant internally, but has a restrictive design in terms of air flow. In testing, we’ve seen 35% more flow as well as a 200 degree drop in EGT with a loss of only 1.5psi across the intercooler compared to 5psi from the OE unit.

Plus, our upgraded 6.7L Powerstroke oil coolers and transmission coolers. Each offers significant increases in cooling capability by up to 25 degrees. Both are direct bolt on designs. Overheated oil, be it transmission fluid or engine oil, is the leading cause of failure. Increasing their respective cooler's capability greatly increases potential engine life.
