This Intake manifold acts as a factory replacement intake manifold. It requires no tuning and also acts as a performance upgrade! The SPE intake manifold was developed to make the engine perform better and more efficiently. We have increased airflow by eliminating restriction and optimizing EGR flow. SPE focused on making our OE style intake manifold as Ford would if they weren't worried about the cost to produce it. Taking this approach allowed us to unlock huge potential. We have seen up to 30WHP gains. The intake works so well the engines make boost at idle. In some cases fuel efficiency even increases.
Construction : Made from A356 and heat treated to T6. Raw finish. (Other finish options available soon). The lower air intake is rotomolded and connects to the factory air box.
Airflow: Largest internal diameter on the market. The map sensor has been lifted out of the EGR flow path so the sensor stays clean. Our design has less internal cavities which keeps flow optimized and soot build up to a minimum unlike the factory unit which is penny pinched to achieve a "minimum" goal. The lower intake has been simplified and rotomolded to achieve better flow as well. With added flexibility for different CCV options.
OEM Optimization: The EGR system has been optimized so that it disperses even better than the factory manifold. This means less egr deposits inside the engine which in turn adds longevity and better engine efficiency overall.
Replacement: Replaces the factory intake manifold and retains all of the other factory components. No tuning required.
